Grooming Standards
Female:
- 3 Inches in bulk max
- Not below the collar (rear edge)
- Color must be a natural color
Male:
- Tapered appearance on sides
and back
- Sideburns not below lowest
ear opening
- Clean shaven at all times
while in uniform
Blues Service Uniform
• Nametag
• Belt
• Gig Line
- Flush line front top of the shirt to
the trousers seam
• Shoes
- Shine with your wingman
• Tuck
- Utilize guarders
Alternate Uniform
• Business
casual
• Close-toed
shoes
• Conservative
• No jeans
• No athletic
shoes
Accessories
Watches:
- Must be conservative
Prohibited examples:
- Neon or bright colors
- Bands that exceed 1-inch in width
- Novelty (i.e. cartoon character) watches
Earrings:
-Must be conservative
and will not be more than
6mm in diameter

Bracelets must:
-Conservative/plain
-No more than ½ inch in width
-Not support a cause, a person, a
philosophy or group
Exceptions:
-Medical Alert/ID bracelets are authorized
-Traditional metal POW/MIA/KIA
bracelets, which come in colors besides
silver, bronze, or gold, remain authorized
Accessories
• Cosmetics:
- If worn by females, nail polish
will be a single color that does not
distinctly contrast with the
Airmen’s complexion, or is an
extreme color
- Male Airmen are not authorized to
wear nail polish or other cosmetics
