Regular Stakeholder Interfaces

 Monthly public drop in events supporting Horizon.

 Horizon Public Liaison Group meetings; Presentation to Stakeholders & Interest Groups e.g. National Farmers Union Wales  Energy Island Strategic Forum; strategic, communications, consent and health & safety workstreams.  Bi-annual stakeholder event chaired by DECC.

Stakeholders Include;

Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC), Countryside Council for Wales (CCW), Environment Agency Wales (EAW), Snowdonia National Park, CADW, North Wales County Council Officers, Generators i.e. Horizon, Celtic Array and developers i.e. Land and Lakes, Skerries

    National Grid Business; the electricity network in the UK National Grids obligations, Electricity Act 1989 duties. ‘To develop an economic, efficient & co-ordinated system of electricity transmission’ The UK energy challenge Existing National Grid network in North Wales ‘Currently one double circuit 400kV overhead line between Wylfa and Pentir’    Technologies in use and available across the network Connection agreements in place ‘Existing network in North Wales unable to accommodate amount of power proposed’ Approach to strategic optioneering and consenting ‘We will present information for consultation; proposed in Autumn 2012‘.
