Background

What we are doing:



Implementing a formal approach to procuring
agency placements from the market place.
Will be a 3 year framework, with an option to
extend for an additional 12 months.
Once accepted onto the framework,
individual requirements will be requested
separately by East Riding and North
Lincolnshire councils.
Background Cont ..

Why we are doing this:


We are obligated to comply with
procurement regulations and legal
requirements.
Continue to develop working
relationships with providers to achieve
positive outcomes for children and
young people.

Key Points:



We only go to market if the need cannot be
met internally;
National drive, and usually in children and
young people’s best interest, for
placements to be as close to home as
possible, where appropriate;
The majority of our external placements
are within or just outside our Local
Authority area;
