 Must condition score after scanning to;



 Singles in open paddocks
 No feeding during lambing (if
required feed in afternoon)
 We check lambing ewes daily
 Mark lambs at 6 – 7 weeks

 Make sure all ewes are on
good pasture to return to

Economic Value
 Targeted feed allocation based on;
 CS
 Preg status
 We had a small increase in stocking rate
 Big increase in number of twins & over all lambing %
 Increased supplementary feed
 Weather is no longer a major factor
The Numbers
 18 000 ewes increased to 20 000
 Lambing %; 81% - 91% 3yr avge (81 - 107%)
 Ewe mortality from 4.5% - 2.3%
 Supplementary feed; 15kgs - 32 kgs
