On the Horizon
FRVP/TexaSure
• Financial Responsibility Verification

• Enhanced to provide Insurance Status by
OLN, ID and/or Name and Date of Birth

• Requires a re-bid every 5 years.
Batch Interface
• DPS is working on providing the capability
to receive a file via the TLETS network
using FTP for processing through TLETS.
• Will work on any message key.
• Should be in production by May 31, 2010
NLETS Web Service
• TLETS will exchange information with NLETS in
XML
• Initially most message keys will only be delivered with
an NLETS message embedded in the payload of the
XML
• In the future, local agencies will have the option to
receive XML tagged responses
• DPS will apply a style sheet to those agencies that do
not want XML. But this will enable TLETS to format
many messages uniformly.
NLETS Chief Project
• Criminal History Information Exchange Format
• Purpose: Support BJS NCHIP
Bureau of Justice Statistics National Criminal History Improvement Program
Support the implementation of a standardized rapsheet
in XML, either using GJXDM or NIEM
• Status: the Joint Task Force for Rapsheet
Standardization recently adopted an approach to
provide the Juvenile and Court Information that
was unavailable.
• Should restart in the near future
