A SmartMarks "How To" Session
SmartMarks play a significant part in the creation of an effective
template for use with your ReportMaker Task. This session will cover
the process involved in developing a professional ReportMaker
Template to rapidly produce consistent, repeatable and attractive
proofs/reports using your Automation Engine.

define this information by using the “info” button for the current job.

that will function as guides to position the
smartmarks.

page 4 uses a 3D view of the input file. Prerequisite is a structural
file (ARD, DAE, ZAE), to make this work. Label.pdf has an ARD
embedded.

now it’s time to create the report. Run the reportmaker task in
Automation Engine. Select label.pdf as input file. (right click –
launch)

sit back and enjoy your first report that was automatically created !
Think of all the time you will be saving !
the report is created in a new folder called “ReportMaker”. Use
“view” to view your report. Remark : when using Acrobat to view
your report, make sure overprint preview is turned on in
preferences.
