Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. List requirements from USP 797,795 and proposed
Chapter <800>
2. Review current legal actions to improve safety of
compounded preparations
3. Discuss compliance with cGMP versus cGCP as
described under the Drug Quality and Security Act
4. Review requirements for hazardous medication
handling, storage and disposal laws and best practices
5. Compare current law versus current guideline versus
best practice regarding compounding
6. Discuss cases of compounding errors and
contamination
