 ECONO Mode Econo Mode is a function that sets a limit for power consumption. This mode is useful for preventing Circuit breakers from being overloaded by the use of multiple air conditioners and other electrical devices. The function is easily activated from the remote controller by pushing the ECONO button.

 Standby electricity saving Without this function, about 6W standby electricity is necessary. By cutting power supply to outdoor unit, necessary standby electricity is reduced to 1 W at the least. This new function corresponds to diversified energy saving needs. Operation standby electricity < Without “Standby Electricity Saving” > < With “Standby Electricity Saving” > 1 W For indoor unit microcomputer 5 W For outdoor unit microcomputer 1 W For indoor unit microcomputer 0 W (Outdoor unit is suspended) Note: In some conditions, for example when temperature is low, outdoor unit runs microcomputer and preheats compressor and thus uses energy. (About 35 W is necessary for preheating)

Swing mode selection method through wireless handset:

-Press SWING button for 4 seconds to enter field setting mode. While in field setting mode, show only SETTING MODE -Press temperature + or – button to select SWING MODE rotation from SWING MODE 1 to SWING MODE 3 -If no mode changes within 4 seconds, unit will operate according to the selected SWING MODE

Wiring Error Check

 Designed to provide convenience for the system to correct wiring errors itself.

 For unclear local wiring in the case of buried/hidden piping.

 This function works by letting refrigerant flow from port A and on onward. The indoor coil temperature is detected one by one to check for matching between the piping and wiring.

 If wiring is corrected or change a new controller, wiring check has to be carried out again.

For example: If wiring from Port A is correctly connected to Room A, but piping from Port B instead.

 After self-correction, when unit is turned ON, OD will change the add in memory so that EXV A is link to Port B.

Wiring Error Check

   Press SW3 button to activate wiring check function: • • • The red LEDs will start blinking one after another.

The compressor is set to run at fix frequency.

Wiring to each ID unit is checked in sequence.

 It takes 10~15min to complete the check and correction.

Result • • Red LEDs blinking in sequence – self correction complete, unit ready to run.

All LEDs blinking together – fail to self correct, recheck wire and piping.

This function is subjected to following conditions: • • • • After unit is first turned ON, need to wait for about 30 seconds for system initialization.

OD ambient > 5  C.

To complete 3 minutes standby after unit stops.

Indoor units are not having any other problem.

Priority Room Setting

 Allow user to set a particular room which takes precedence over the operation mode of other rooms.

 For example, if Room A is the priority room, when COOL mode is selected in Room A while Room B, C & D are operating in the following mode:

COOL or DRY or FAN HEAT AUTO Current operation mode is maintained The unit enters Standby Mode. Operation resumes when Room A unit stops operating.

If the unit is set to COOL mode, operation continues.

If set to HEAT mode, it enters Standby Mode.

Operation resumes when Room A unit stops operating.

 This setting must be done when the unit is first installed.

 Make sure setting is only done for 1 room.

 Slide SW4 dip switch to the ON side for the corresponding indoor unit to be set as priority room.
