and ends at 2:55 p.m.
• On our PLC days school starts at 8:15 a.m.
and ends at 12:35 p.m.

Promotion Requirements
• Your Grade Point Average (GPA) must be
at least 1.5 for the entire year
• Math GPA must be at least 1.0
• English GPA must be at least 1.0
• No more than 3 “F” grades for the year
• Score at or above level 2 on the CSTSTAR test

Attendance
• Absences-
All absences MUST be called into the 24 hour
absence line 459-8257 or a note MUST come to the attendance window,
first thing in the morning, on the day the student returns
– Homework Request accepted on 3rd day of
absence
– Independent Study – one week advance
notice
– Tardy – note required to be excused
– Early Dismissals – must be received first
thing in the morning

• Bell to bell, no cell!
• Students aren’t allowed to use
electronic devices with headphones
(iPods, etc.)

Upcoming Dates……
• Open House – April 28th 7:00 PM – 8:30 p.m.
• Roadrunner Rally (RRR) – August 24th and 25th
– Look for a postcard in the mail (end of July) to
inform you of when to pick up your registration
packet
– If you do not receive a postcard, please come to
the office with verification of your address. We
accept 2 different proofs of residence: your gas,
water or electric bills
• Locator pickup on-line or in person (9/2)
Registration
• Math Placement Test
– Taken between March 29th – April 1st
– To determine math level placement
• Math 7 or Pre-Algebra
• Advanced scores on math placement test will
allow students the opportunity to take Algebra
Readiness Test (ART)
• Honors Placement
Based on 6th grade teacher
recommendation
Roadrunner Rally
• Things to do and bring to Roadrunner Rally
- Both parents/guardians and students read
the Annual Notice Booklet on-line
- Read and sign everything in the packet
- Bring the following items:
1. SVUSD student registration form
2. Disaster emergency card
3. Annual Notices card
4. Receipt form and checks
5. Backpack for textbooks

Pertussis Immunization Law
• Students must have a Pertussis vaccine
booster and provide supporting
documentation before the first day of
the 2011-12 school year.
• Please have your child vaccinated with a
Pertussis booster before the end of the
current school year.
