THE ARMY’S EO POLICY
• Equal treatment for soldiers, family members, and civilian employees • Provide an environment free from sexual harassment
APPLIES TO:
• On and off duty • Soldiers, civilian employees, and family members • Working, living, and recreational environment
EO PROGRAM CONCEPT
• Formulates, directs, and sustains • Strive to ensure fair treatment of all soldiers • Responsibility of leadership • Function of command
COMMANDER’S
• Develop and implement EO programs • Identify unlawful discriminatory practices • Promote EO and interpersonal harmony • Conduct EO training on a continuous basis • Monitor and assess the execution of EO programs • Publish and post written command policy statements • Ensure unit EORs are appointed and trained • Conduct assessment within 90 days then annually
EO PRINCIPLES
• Commanders and leaders are responsible for unit EO • Promote harmony, do not merely avoid disorder • Support individual and cultural diversity • Discipline will not be compromised • Fair and equal treatment for all soldiers and employees are emphasized
