Stations Fund - governance
Aim of the fund: “improve public’s access to railway services”
Guidance defines what improvements might consist of (e.g. “improvements to
station buildings and facilities” and applications need to focus on how the scheme
will contribute to meeting NR’s outputs. (Evidence based)
NR is constrained by the guidance as follows:
► Applications of >£1m require TS approval if BCR>2:1
► Applications >£100k require TS approval is BCR<2:1 or undetermined
Fund seeks to encourage matched funding bids, but funding has to be proportionate
to share of benefits.
