OBJECTIVES
Use ICT to improve healthcare in rural
areas of Cambodia
Develop mobile phone application for
young people to consult their problems
(STDs) with professional medical staffs.
PROBLEMS
81% of the population live in rural
areas[1].
In 2007, 40% of RHAC patients were
affected with STDs [2].

SMART:
• provides the mobile phone service in
Cambodia.
•is the third largest mobile in Cambodia,
850,000 subscribes in 2011 [3].
• offers us free of charge SMS
communication between a mobile clientbased application and server.

RHAC (Reproductive Health Associated of
Cambodia):
•is a non-government organization which
focuses on reproduction health in Cambodia.
•was admitted as the Cambodian member of the
International Planned Parenthood Federation
(IPPF) [4].
•has provided the symptoms of STD, as well as
medical advice regarding the design of the
applications.
