Webelos & Arrow of Light
Requirements
• LDS Webelos should be actively
participating in Webelos den for at
least 9 months
– 3 months apply to Webelos rank
– 6 months apply to Arrow of Light rank
• Consider the circumstances of
each individual boy
20
Items to consider:
• LDS Webelos enter a den program throughout the
year.
– Webelos den leaders need to know when their Webelos are
joining and leaving!
– Webelos entering a den may complete Arrow of Light adventures
before Webelos rank adventures!
– The Webelos rank is no longer required to earn the Arrow of
Light rank
– Unit leader planning and communication is a key element in
successful advancement
– If the program remains constant each year, the boys will be able
to complete both ranks
•2
21
Items to consider:
• Communicate expectations to parents/guardians at
the beginning of the Webelos year
– Family responsibility for completing faith-based adventures
– Elective adventures (if any) that need to be completed outside of
the den meeting
– Webelos should be encouraged to work with parents/guardians
through elective adventures that capture their interest
