 For other materials, including unitary materials
such as pour-in-place urethane and rubberized
artificial turf, or loose-fill materials such as tire
crumbs and bark nuggets, test data from an
independent testing laboratory certifying the
critical height of material (per ASTM F1292)
must be obtained and maintained on file by the
operator.


Either guardrails or protective barriers may
be used to prevent inadvertent or
unintentional falls off elevated platforms.
In addition, they should be designed to
prevent intentional attempts by children
seeking to defeat the barrier either by
climbing over or through the barrier.
