GLOBAL LOGISTICS FUND
By Forwarders Debt Recovery Services
The aim of the fund is to provide compensation protection for monies
lost due to non payment of invoices between your participating
network members.
FDRS will have a dedicated chapter for the Global Logistic Fund on
its website at which participating networks will appear.

GFP WEBSITE will indicate their members who have payment
protection, giving other members a peace of mind when trading
PRE-CONDITIONS :
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE GFP FOR
A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS
PARTICIPANTS WHO APPEAR ON THE FDRS BLACKLIST WILL BE EXCLUDED
FDRS, ALONG WITH THE GFP SECRETARY WILL ADMINSITER THE GLOBAL
LOGISTICS FUND AND IT WILL BE OPEN TO ALL ENROLLED OFFICES OF
EACH MEMBER COMPANY
FOR EXAMPLE, A COMPANY THAT HAS 3 BRANCHES IN ONE COUNTRY
WOULD BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AND PAY FOR ALL BRANCHES TO
RECEIVE FULL PAYMENT COVER
FDRS WILL PROVIDE A QUARTERLY STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT TO THE GFP
WHICH WILL DETAIL PAID OUT AMOUNTS, BALANCES AND THE FUND FOR
FUTURE CLAIMS
IT IS PROPOSED THAT THE MEMBERSHIP FEE WILL BE USD 500 PER YEAR
PER MEMBER OFFICE. THE COMPENSATION AMOUNT IS LIMITED TO USD 10,000
PER PARTICIPATING COMPANY AND THE MAXIMUM TO BE PAID OUT IN ALL
CLAIMS IN ANY 12 MONTH PERIOD SHALL NOT EXCEED USD 100,000.
THE INTENTION OF THE FUND US TO LET IT GROW AND LET THE PAY-OUT
LIMITS GROW ACCORDINGLY

WHEN DOES THE FUND START
As many networks hold their AGM in the later part of the year, we have decided to
commence the fund on 1st January 2015
HOW DOES THE FUND WORK IN TERMS OF A CLAIM ?
Claims to the fund must be filled within 150 days of the date of the unpaid invoices
and during the cover period. No claims will be accepted for invoices less than 90
days old.
HOW MANY MEMBERS DO YOU EXPECT TO JOIN ?
Of course, every member,every office from every network would be wonderful but
We encourage the GFP Board to promote this as we see this as an administration
free payment protection service which benefits not just the GFP but agents that the
GFP Partners also work with who are members of other organisations.
We have already 5 of the GFP Partners signed up. We would prefer after AGM
Presentation, we sign up at least 25% of the GFP. Remember the fund will only pay out
if both parties are signed up to the GLF.
HOW DO WE SIGN UP ?
It’s simple, via a simple application form via the website www.fdrs-ltd.com or you can
appoint your Secretary to act on behalf of the GFP
COST ?
USD 500 per member, per office, per year
HOW DO WE KNOW WHO IS A MEMBER?
On the GFP WEBSITE the Payment Protection Members will be shown with a logo of the
GLF ( this provided by the GLF ) this gives any partner the easy decision to work with
the other knowing they have payment protection
WHO REPORTS THE AMOUNT IN THE FUND ?
The Global Logistics Fund reports the fund values, the claims and the non payers
Via the website which is updated weekly. The claims will also show the number of
Agents involved and the amount of each claim.
HOW DO WE START A CLAIM ?
Via the website their is a Members Log In and the claim form can be downloaded
And past for judgement. On approval both parties enter into a claim.
That claim will show on the website and already will highlight a NON PAYING AGENT
The idea of the Fund is also to stop and blacklist ROGUE FORWARDERS
WILL THE COST OF THE FUND INCREASE ?
No, for now we will keep the fund at the fees agreed. We may decide at a later stage
To offer a larger pay out option like – max pay – out amount per claimant p.a
USD 20,000 ( now set at USD 10,000 ) In that case we could look to increase the
Fees for those who prefer a higher cover level
WHO MANAGES THE FUND ?
The fund is managed entirely by the FDRS – Forwarders Dept Recovery Service.
