Port Of Derince –General Information
Port of Derince, which is a multipurpose port, is located in the
Northern shore of the Gulf of Izmit. The port is connected with
state railway and highway network.
Location: 400 44’ 44” N, 290 50’ 00” E
Port serves for general cargo as well as dry bulk and Ro-Ro.
The port has also a container berth equipment capacity of 30,000
TEU/year.
The Port gives an opportunity for rail and sea combined
transport with regular train ferry services between Derince Port
and Costanza Port of Romania.
As of May 2012, total number of workers are 476. (White
Collar: 136, Blue Collar: 340)
