Sports News
Penryn will be
hosting the Independent Schools
Rugby Festival for 1st teams, from
3 to 7 July 2012. This prestigious
event will feature some of the top
independent schools in South
Africa, including Michaelhouse, St
John's, St Andrews, Hilton and St
Stithians, in three days of top
class rugby.
We will have almost 500
schoolboys and many visiting
parents on campus during the
event, and Penryn will be buzzing.
We received many positive
comments after hosting the Under
15 ISRF in 2010, and I'm sure that
once again we will do Penryn
proud in staging a great event.
We would like to offer parents the
opportunity to advertise in the
festival brochure, whether its for
your company or simply to offer a
message of support for our team.
Costs are as follows:
Front or Back cover (full colour) Full page: R2000.00

The Senior Primary children and a number of
teachers have been working incredible hard on the
school play, ‘Joseph’. I have particularly enjoyed
hearing the songs around the school and must
say, once they are in one's head they are very
difficult to stop singing. Perhaps that is true in
many of your homes too!
This from Ruth Naude who is once again inspiring the children as the
director of the production: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour
Dreamcoat”……Excitement is mounting with each rehearsal, and each
time a new costume is strutted on stage. After weeks of preparation
for the show, the Grade 7 class of 2012, who are cast in the main
roles, and the chorus of Grades 4-6, are all looking forward to showing
their parents, families and friends the product of all their hard work.
There will be three shows:- Monday 23 April at 11:00 for the
Foundation Phase as well as older friends and family who may find the
evenings daunting, and then Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th at
18:00. There are tickets on sale at the front office at R30-00 per adult
and R10-00 per pupil (the morning show is free). Please spread the
word and book soon. This promises to be a really special show.
