WASEDA Graduate School has more foreign students
than any other university in Kitakyushu science and
research Park and 80% of its students are from abroad
providing excellent circumstances for pursuing advanced

The city provides 200 apartments in total as well as
a scholarship called the Kitakyushu Science and Research
Park Scholarship for graduate students studying in the Park.
the winner of the scholarship is given 300,000 yen per year.

2・Language education is available
In the Language Education Center, Japanese, English and
Kanji training is available for students, researchers, faculty
and staff in the Park .
Japanese: 6 classes ranging from elementary to
intermediate
English: 2 classes, elementary and intermediate
Kanji character: 2classes, elementary and intermediate
A total of 273 people took the classes in 2010,190 in
Japanese, 62 in English, 21 in Kanji
