ECAA – ACA REGULATION TRAINING COURSE ECAR ECAR 101 Manned passenger carrying balloons 101.1 Applicability (a) This subpart prescribes rules governing: (1) The on-demand operations of each person who holds or is required to hold an operating certificate under Part 101; (2) Each person employed or used by an operating certificate holder conducting operations under this Part including the maintenance, preventative maintenance and alteration of a hot air balloon; (3) Sightseeing flights conducted in hot air balloons for compensation or hire; and (4) Any other balloon operation of any type within the Arab Republic of Egypt, except moored balloons, unmanned balloons, and unmanned rockets under subpart D of this Part.

ECAA – ACA REGULATION TRAINING COURSE ECAR ECAR 103 Ultra light vehicles 103.1 Applicability This Part prescribes rules governing the operation of ultralight vehicles in the Arab Republic of Egypt. For the purposes of this Part, an ultralight vehicle is a vehicle that: (a)Is used or intended to be used for manned operation in the air by a single or double occupant; (b) Is used or intended to be used for recreation or sport purposes only; (c)Has an Egyptian airworthiness certificate; and (d) If unpowered, weighs more than 155 pounds; or (e)If powered: (1) Weighs less than 254 pounds empty weight, excluding floats and safety devices which are intended for deployment in a potentially catastrophic situation; (2)Has a fuel capacity not exceeding 15.5 kilograms; (3) Is not capable of more than 55 knots calibrated airspeed at full power in level flight; and (4)Has a power off stall speed, which does not exceed 24 knots, calibrated airspeed.

105.1 Applicability

This subpart prescribes the requirements for issuing a parachuting certificate PC and associated ratings for Aeroclubs or Centers of Parachute Skydiving (ACPS) and the general operating rules for the holders of those certificates and ratings

129.1 Applicability

(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, this Part prescribes rules governing the operation within the Arab Republic of Egypt of each foreign air carrier holding a permit issued by the ECAA.

(b) Section 129.7(b) applies to Egyptian registered aircraft operated in common carriage by a foreign person or foreign air carrier solely outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. For the purpose of this Part, a foreign person is any person, not a citizen for the Arab Republic of Egypt, who operates an Egyptian registered aircraft in common carriage solely outside the Arab Republic of Egypt.
