回复的方式
 Firm Acceptance
 第一志愿
(first / preferred choice, only one)
是排在第一位的，最想去的学校和专业，但是入学要求相对来说可
能高一点。只能选择一个第一志愿。
 Insurance Acceptance
 保底志愿 （第二志愿）
(back-up choice, only one)
是作为保底的学校，相对第一志愿而言，入学要求可能会低一点。
也只能选择一个保底志愿。
Note: you have to choose one as your firm acceptance.
However insurance choice is not necessary.
注意：必须要选择一个第一志愿。至于第二志愿，可以选也可以不
选。
Four combinations of replies and offers:
在回复页面上，可能出现的几种情况：

Eligibility
申请extra需要符合的条件：

而且学校对五个选择都已经作出了决定

No offers (unsuccessful)
没有收到任何的录取通知书（申请未成功）
4.
Declined all the offers you have received
自己拒绝了所有五个录取通知书
Note: decline offers and add an extra choice, impossible to accept any of original
choices later
在拒绝了所有的五个录取通知书，再增加一个extra的选择的情况下，是不可能收到原有的五个
选择中任何一个选择的。

What happens next?
接下来怎么做？
If you accept an offer, you can not apply anywhere else.
如果你收到了录取通知书，你就不能再申请另外的专业。
If you decline an offer, or rejected by the uni or college,
you can apply for a different choice.
如果你拒绝了录取通知书，或者被学校拒收，那么你可以再申请另外
的专业。
If you have not received a decision, you can also apply for
a different choice within 21 days of applying to uni or
college.
如果你在申请学校专业的21天内没有收到学校的录取通知书的话，
你可以申请另外一个专业。
If you don’t get an offer in extra, you can apply through
“clearing” process.
如果你没有在extra中得到任何的录取通知书，那么你可以通过“清
场”程序申请。

Eligibility
申请清场需要符合的条件：

You have not received any offers

You have declined all your offers or not responded by due date
你拒绝了所有的录取通知书或是没有及时地回复学校的录取通知书
3.
Your offers have not been confirmed because you have not met the conditions
你的录取通知书没有被确认，由于你没有达到学校的入学要求（一般根据CIE的考试情况）
4.
You have declined a changed course, a changed date of entry and / or changed point of entry offer
你已经拒绝了一个含有已变更过的课程，或者一个变更过的入学日期，或者一个变更过的入学的年份的录取通知书
5.
You applied for one course which has been declined / unsuccessful and you have paid the full application fee - ￡22
for 2012
你自己拒绝了一个专业的录取通知书，或是学校给了申请未成功的决定，而且你已经付了所有专业22英镑的申请费。
6.
Ucas reveive your application after 30 June, they will not sent it to any unis and colleges.
Ucas在6月30日以后收到的申请，都不会寄给任何的学校

Wait-listed students who eventually earn
admission are often notified in June, but
the decisions could drag on through much

the online form to indicate your interest

Many colleges want an answer on your
decision by mid-April.许多大学都需要在4月

If you are wait-listed by more than one
school, you can only pick one.如果你在一

What You Should Do

Accept another offer, pay the necessary fees and
begin taking the steps to secure housing and picking
classes. (before May) 从你收到的录取通知中选择相对最
适合你的一所，付定金并开始登记宿舍和注册课程。（5月之
前）
If the dream school offers you admission later, you
can simply notify the other college that you‘ve been
accepted off the wait list at Dream University, and
you’re no longer planning to attend their school. 如果
你理想的大学后来给你发了录取通知，你只需要通知你已经
注册的大学你已决定去刚刚被录取的xx大学了。
You will lose whatever deposit and fees you‘ve paid.
你唯一的损失就是你的定金。




express your commitment to the school. State that
the college is your No.1 choice in your letter and say
you will attend if you are taken off the list.表达你对该
校的青睐:该校是你的首选，如果该校录取你，你一定就读。
In the letter, relay in one short paragraph why the
school is a good fit for you, whether it‘s an academic
program or an extra-curricular activity, and how you
would contribute to the campus community. 在信中用
一小段来讲述为什么该校适合你：某个专业，项目或者课外
活动，还有你的加入将会对该校有何贡献。
You can also call and ask if you can interview,
especially if you haven‘t interviewed already. Some
colleges permit this for students on the wait list. Try
to schedule the meeting with the dean of
admissions, and make your case directly.如果你还没有
被该校面试过，你可以写信或打电话请求一次面试机会。尽
量约招生办主任，这样决定回更快更直接。

exit endorsement from the Public Security Bureau

Stick the visa/entry permit in your passport and
EEP, and show them to the border officer when
you enter HK. Note: the visa/entry permit is not
valid until it is stamped by the border officer. 将签

员出示签证/入境许可证，获盖章后，方为有效
