I. Introduction Pedro had lost hope. He had a baby boy but he had no money, no work. How could he believe the promise of the old negress?

“Your boy will grow up and become famous,”she told him. “Be a good father to the boy. One day he will be a good son to you.”

II. Plot Summary Pedro never forgot the words of the old woman. He believe that Palito will become a famous football player. He helped Palito to do it. Palito was also to solve his leg problem. Finally, he became a famous football player.

III. Major Character Analysis • Pedro • Palito • Old woman

IV. Reflection •Pedro never forgot the words of the old woman and believed what she said. •After Palito had an operation and his old skills were gone. He felt upset and began to drink a lot. •When Palito did some training and exercises, his legs became strong.

V. Conclusion •Palito had become famous, gave happiness to many people and helped poor people. The old woman had kept her promise.
