• Balloon-expandable TAVI should be the new standard
of care for patients with aortic stenosis who are not
suitable candidates for surgery!

Implications
•TAVR is an acceptable alternative to AVR in
selected high-risk operable patients.
• A multidisciplinary valve team benefits patients
and recommended for all valve centers.
• Future RCT should focus on lower risk patients
who are candidates for operation.
