What is Qigong?
Qigong can be simply defined as the art of training one’s Qi (vital energy) and mind (mental consciousness).
Qi means respiration
Gong means continuous regulation.

Qigong and TCM are suppressed at worst and not encouraged or supported at best.
The emphasis in on modernization and that means emulating all things Western, including Western Medicine.
