SECTION 1.0 - INTRODUCTION
Purpose – documenting historical hazard events and
vulnerabilities and strategies for mitigation that will
make Montana a more disaster resistant State.
Scope – Meet requirements of Standard Level Plan
with potential to expand to an Enhanced Plan in the
future.
Authority – Section 322 (Mitigation Planning) of the
Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency
Assistance Act enacted by Section 104 of the Disaster
Mitigation Act of 2000.
