Abstract
Guidelines for submission of Abstract:
The abstract should be limited to 300 words and should include
Title, Author’s affiliation(S), Author’s e-mail, Brief introduction,
Methods, Results and Conclusions.
Oral Presentations:
The oral presentation will be of 10 minutes (8 minutes for
presentation + 2 minutes for questions). The facilities for the
PowerPoint and overhead projections will be available at the
conference.
Poster presentation:
In the poster session, posters will be displayed in the assigned
location by 10.00 am on the day of poster presentation. The
presenting authors will be expected to be present at their posters
during the poster session and for discussion.
Pre-conference Course on Metaanalysis
A pre-conference workshop on Metaanalysis for young faculty
and Post graduates is being organised on 25th Feb 2015. The

About Lucknow - the Host City
Lucknow, the Capital of Uttar Pradesh (U.P) is the most densely
populated city in India. It was the capital of Awadh from 1775. The fourth
Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula transferred the capital of Avadh from Faizabad to
Lucknow and began constructing some splendid architectural marvels, A
tradition that was sustained by his successors. During this period. Lucknow
also established its prominent place in the field of poetry, music and dance.
Some of the best monuments in Lucknow are the Bara Imambara, Chota
Imambara, Roomi Gate etc. Lucknow has rich culture, architecture, music,
dance handicrafts and etiquette. The local culture of Lucknow City and style of
speaking Urdu like tashreef rakhiye, pahale aap and aap janab makes it
different from apart of world. Lucknow is fastest growing city in India that is
witnessing an economic boom. The Government departments and the public
sector providing lots of opportunities in area of empoyment. The Government
of UP has a good plan for infrastucture and economic development hence
many private companies like Sahara, Tata and so on are investing lot of money
in Lucknow and in this sense Lucknow is also the economical capital of Uttar
Pradesh.
About the Host Institutions - HIMS & KGMU
The conference is being jointly organized by Hind Institute of
Medical Sciences, Barabanki and King George’s Medical University, Lucknow .
While the Hind Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), is a new upcoming MCI
recognized medical college started in 2009. Besides MBBS, the institute is also
running various paramedical and nursing courses recognized by State Medical
Faculty and Nursing Council of India. HIMS has also started MD courses in
various pre and para clinical disciplines.
The King George’s Medical University, on the other hand is over a
century old institution which was established as King George’s Medical
College, Lucknow in October 1911, the year when his Majesty King George V
and Queen Mary visited India. The college since then has been a front runner
amongst medical institutions in the country offering Medical, Dental, Nursing
and paramedical graduate, postgraduate and superspecialty courses. By an act
passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 16th September 2002, The
College has been upgraded into a medical university.
