Innovation Design Community
We;
• Respond to
– the increasing influence of design at a strategic level
– the growing acceptance across all sectors that innovation is key to business success
– the blurring boundaries both within the creative industries and across different
disciplines.
• Provide a deeper understanding of creativity and the tools you need to allow ideas and
innovation to flourish
• Offer opportunities to collaborate with external companies to provide opportunities to
engage in ‘live projects’
• Develop the communication skills needed to ‘sell-in’ your ideas
• Encourage reflective practice to enhance self-awareness as a designer and a person
• Foster a multi-cultural, multi-national, multi-disciplined community
• Ability to recognise and frame multi-perspective problem spaces
• The tools to make it happen, including developing Intellectual Property and business and
marketing plans

MA Design is all about helping
students to understand the
nuances of design. It helps us
connect the design world to
the real world. It helps us to
explore the next step or
