Auto Top Off (ATO)
• Replaces oil in the frypot used during the normal cooking cycle
• Maintains a consistent oil level in the frypot
Oil is pumped from a
supply located inside
the fryer cabinet
NOTE: ATO is not intended to
fill an empty frypot
11
Auto Top Off (ATO)
Orange light on the fryer
cabinet will indicate when
the in-cabinet oil supply is
empty and needs to be
replaced (or filled as with
bulk oil system)
12
Auto Top Off (ATO)
Changing the oil supply is simple!
1
2
Remove the container
from the cabinet and the
tube from the oil
3
Insert tube in new
Replace by
container, clip onto
sliding onto shelf
cardboard (if applicable)
Cabinet will hold an oil container up to 9 ½” x 9 ½” x 16”
(24.13 cm x 24.13 cm x 40.64 cm)
13
Auto Top Off (ATO)
After replacing the in-cabinet
oil supply, press and hold the
reset button until the Orange
light goes out
14
Auto Top Off (ATO)
• Fresh oil is retrieved
through a suction tube
inserted into the in-cabinet
oil supply container (JIB)
• Tube is adjustable to fit
any size JIB snugly
• JIBs for bulk oil are filled
via the bulk oil system
15
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
• Crumbs must be skimmed and removed from the frypot regularly to
protect the oil and extend oil life.
• The computer will count the number of cooks throughout the day
and signal when it’s time to filter the frypot.
• Hands-free, automatic filtration is completed in about 4 minutes!
16
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
After a pre-programmed number of cook cycles,
the M3000 will display:
…and the Blue light illuminates
17
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
When the blue light goes on, the M3000
computer display alternates between:
The options are to choose YES to Filter Now or NO to
Postpone Filtration during a busy cook time
To maximize oil life always say YES to the Blue light
18
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
If YES is chosen, the M3000 displays…
SKIM the VAT for 10 seconds
19
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
• After the SKIM VAT time expires, computer
displays CONFIRM?
• Say YES to CONFIRM?
20
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
If YES is chosen, the M3000 displays…
Frypot drain valve
is opened and oil
is drained to filter
pan
Oil is pumped back
into frypot washing
crumbs into filter
pan
Drain valve is
closed and oil is
pumped back into
frypot
Once YES is chosen all steps are performed automatically
and completed in approximately 4 minutes!
21
Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
If NO is chosen because it’s lunch time
or a bus load of customers just arrived:
• Fryer continues normal operation
with more drop / cook cycles
• The Blue light turns off
NOTE: Stores doing over $3M have shown that filtering IS
possible, even during very busy periods
To maximize oil life always say YES to the Blue light
22
New M3000 Computer
Has expanded capabilities:
• Data collection for monitoring number of cooks
and filtration cycles
• Pre-programmed automatic filtration settings
• Smart Kitchen compatibility

Score Card Disclaimer
During the course of this global equipment evaluation, data
collected from the test sites indicate that oil life while using
the LOV Fryer varies greatly. This variance is due to one
or more of the following:
– Restaurant volume
– Oil type: canola oils perform better than palm oils
– Legislative or regulatory criteria relative to free fatty acids or total
polar compound limits
– Methods of measure: color tube vs. 3M strips vs. EBRO
– Menu mix and/or promotional items
– Adherence to recommended operational procedures
32
Environmental Benefits
The LOV Fryer reduces oil use about
40% annually, which means:
• 40% less waste oil to dispose of
• 40% less packaging material going
into our landfills
33
Environmental Benefits
The LOV Fryer is ENERGY STAR® rated. It reduces
energy use and qualifies for energy saving rebates.
ANNUAL ENERGY COST SAVINGS
The LOV Electric Fryer saves 10.9% and
The LOV Gas Fryer saves 9.2%
Over previous Frymaster fryers supplied to McDonald’s
