All decisions will be guided by what is in the best interest of the student.
Parents, high schools, and Lanier Technical College (LTC) make an investment in and
share the cost of the dual enrollment opportunity.
Student/parents are responsible for other mandatory or optional items such as
malpractice insurance, scrubs, stethoscope, welding helmet, etc.
Secondary school systems will provide the CTAE books for the students. Costs will vary
by the book and number of students enrolled.
If a student qualifies for Hope Grant, Lanier Technical College commits to exempting all
tuition, not covered by HOPE, and fees with the exception of a one-time application fee of
$15.00 per student.
LTC commits to using the same textbook for a minimum of five years. The high school
will order the books and use its local policy in the issuing of the books.
All stakeholders may send textbook suggestions to Jeff Fitzpatrick, High School
Coordinator, and he will discuss these issues with Dr. Barrow and Dr. Tolleson depending
on the campus where the dual enrollment student is registered. The college will always
make sure the student’s best interest is considered when adopting books.
All parties will work toward LTC offering classes as needed on high school campuses. Jeff
Fitzpatrick will be the contact to discuss and request classes held on the high school
campus.
