EuroPRevent – 2015 Summary
• Goals
• 1500+ participants
• <150 faculty members (95% European), more inclusion
of abstracts to maintain faculty member target but also to
promote their work
• Increased abstract submission via extra poster session,
more promotion and initiatives for our Young Researchers
(network session, extra YIA sessions..)
• Proactive industry related communication and strategic
planning of the programme – remain focussed and not too
diverse in content
• No financial loss

Sponsorship
• Industry letters have been tailor made on topics such as:
nutrition, sports cardiology CHF/stable CAD, heart failure, acute
coronary syndromes, CPX and hypercholesterolemia/PCSK9
• Within all of the above introductory letters, 15 satellite
proposals have been made to demonstrate why they should
sponsor
• Two Masterclass sessions were created with specific sectors in
mind (CPX and nutrition )
• Tentative educational grant support pending for 2 sessions on
dyslipidemia (Amgen)

• Oral abstracts (selection based on gradings)
• <35 years : Young Investigator Award sessions : n=4 (one for each
section):

= 6 abstracts per session with judges to select the best one, the YIA winners
from 2014 will chair each session
• Fast track abstract sessions : n= 2
