Control Room is the nerve-centre of the functioning of
police department. A haphazard functioning CR invariably
creates law and order problems, complaints of police
reaching late at the scene of crime, absent or sleeping
night duty staff...however these all shortfalls have become
a thing of the past with the commissioning of CAD based

commissioned in a record time of less than six months

Major shortcomings and lacunae in
the proposed system
The CR posting is highly detested by policemen of all ranks as it is considered a
job of de-motivated worthless officers as the present functioning of CRs is adhoc
,unprofessional and is condemned as a side posting. However , with the onset of
ultramodern CRs functioning on fully professional lines we want to change this
paradigm and transform the job as the job of heroes who first listen to the distress
calls of people in crisis and save lives. We hope to offer them following incentives:
strictly 8 hour shift per day, pleasant ambience and working conditions, corporate
dressing style separate uniform with a tie and most importantly an enhancement of
40% in their monthly basic salary which roughly means additional Rs 5 lac per
month
