Components and (1) DANTES representative.
Charter:
To assist in providing access to educational
opportunities, including DANTES and Servicespecific programs that benefit the Reserve
Components.

RCEP Goals
 Provide awareness of Reserve Component (RC) Voluntary
Education initiatives and concerns to CCME participants;
 Identify RC issues relating to entitlements and/or benefits,
including the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Tuition Assistance;
 Create a common understanding with educational
institution representatives of RC service members issues;
 Devise and achieve consensus on solutions beneficial to
the RC and Education communities;
 Identify policy, legislative, and statutory changes to
implement lasting solutions, as needed.

Maintained a Reserve Education office in Personnel Service Center,
Reserve Personnel Management Division.
Manages all reserve VA education programs including eligibility,
issuance of Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE,) Reserve Educational
Assistance Program (REAP), MGIB-SR, VA inquires, and approval
of TEB requests for Post 9/11 GI Bill.

Visibility of which program members relinquished for Post
9/11. Reserve Component members eligible for other
educational programs are required to relinquish one other
program in order to use the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
14 USC 712: Recall for Domestic response is not creditable
for Post 9/11 GI Bill.
