Numbered cosc648 to cosc701
If you missed class, you can ask any of the TAs
Passwords are 9 characters
PeopleSoft ID number followed by capitalized
last and first initial of your name.
In short, that's PSID+L+F
Example
Password for Fudd, Elmer J with PeopleSoft ID
1112222 is
1112222 + F + E = 1112222FE

From a Windows computer
Download putty.exe from

putty/download.html
Select
bayou.cs.uh.edu as Host Name
SSH as Connection type

Accessing your account (II)
From a Mac:
Mac OS X has a built-in SSH client
called Terminal
On most systems, you can find it in
Applications > Utilities folder
Start it and type:
ssh <your userID>@bayou.cs.uh.edu
By the way, the Mac Terminal app
is a full-fledged UNIX shell

From an Android device:
Go to Google Play Store
Download a free terminal app
I use Connectbot:

Do not expect to do too much work with it!

From a Linux computer:
Open a shell and type:
ssh <your userID>@bayou.cs.uh.edu
It also works for Cygwin

Change your passwords ASAP
