• Post-Secondary Education Gap
– In 2008, 38.5% associates degree or
higher
– By 2018 it’s projected 59% will require
• Racial / Ethnic Performance Gaps
– State Grad rate 77.9%
– Latino Grad rate 68.8%
– 29% gap in college enrollment between
whites and Latinos

• Core of our state’s emerging labor force in just
8-10 years
• Their economic and workforce future look vastly
different
 Impacted by Great Recession
 Too few students prepared with skills
necessary
• Expected to have a lower standard of living and
life expectancy than parents

– GPS Satellite Nav. Systems
• Their friendships are qualifiable by
