Hockey for Life
3:1
• Technical development and team play is the forefront
of instruction.
• Winning is the by-product of hard work, not the
focus.
• Emphasis is placed on teaching and continuously
refining proper skating and puck control skills with a
clear and underlying focus on technical execution
• Feedback: evaluations and reviews (formal/informal)
• Goal setting, team building, and classroom sessions
• Off ice training: the New AJH off-ice training room at
the ARC
• Locker room management- policies and procedures
• Leadership and scholastic performance rewards
– (intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation)
Goal 2:
Coaches are widely reputed as being dedicated,
aligned/consistent, skilled and effective in
