1.1. Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing your new SquareFill machine. Read
this manual and follow the instructions before you use the
SquareFill, this allows you to use the machine properly.
You are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of
your machine. You should ensure that you, and anyone else who
will operate the machine and / or maintained or otherwise
involved, is aware of the operational and maintenance
procedures, and all information in the field of safety in this
manual. Through this guide, you will be guided step by step
through your daily routine and you will be made aware of all the
measures necessary for the safe operation of the machine. Keep
this manual on hand so you can quickly look something up.

we reserve the right to change the specifications stated in this
manual at any time and without notice.
1.2. Usage of the SquareFill
The SquareFill meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC.
The SquareFill is intended to fill containers with water and flower
food using a lift platform. The elevator platform of the SquareFill
is suitable for containers and has a maximum capacity of 50kg.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damages caused by
usage for purposes other than those indicated here or by incorrect
use.
1.3. Important safety instructions and warnings
1.3.1. Installation


Provide an electrical connection that meets the general and
local guidelines (Low Voltage Directives 73/23/EEC and BS
1010).
Ensure a stable position of the machine.




Turn off the machine, shut down the power completely and
clean the machine before you begin service, maintenance,
adjustments, and repairs.
Ensure that all electrical switches are turned off before you
turn the power back on.
Make sure all guards are properly locked – after maintenance
work is finished.
Replace damaged electrical wires, cables, switches, and other
components immediately.
Contact your dealer for further questions.
1.3.4. Dangers and safety stickers.
The on the SquareFill mounted safety stickers contain important
and useful information for keeping the machine / system safe in
operation.

Ensure the safety stickers are always clean and readable.

Replace missing labels and stickers that have become
unreadable.

On replacing components with a safety sticker, the new
components must be affixed with a sticker again.

The safety symbol identifies important safety messages on
the stern drive and in the manual. If you see this symbol, be
alert to the risk of (fatal) injury. Follow the instructions of the
security sticker.


1.3.5. Safety features
The SquareFill is equipped with the following safety features.

Emergency stop switch, located on the control panel

Thermal protection of the drive motors

Note the use of the attention words “Danger”, “Warning”,
“Moving Parts”. The stickers are used on this machine are
shown in the following table.
1.3.2. Daily usage









Do not drink flower food from the flower food container
because this fluid is not intended for consumption.
Only authorized and trained personnel may operate the
machine. It is not allowed for non-qualified persons to
operate the machine.
Provide a first aid kit for any accidents. Put this kits in a
visible place.
Keep a fire extinguisher readily available. Install it in a clear
obvious place.
Before working with the machine, install all protective
devices and ensure that they are fastened (mechanical or
electrical) sound.
Only open the electrical panel when the system power is
turned off at the main panel.
Wear effective protective clothing and tie long hair in a knot.
Call 1-1-2 for emergency assistance immediately in life
threatening situations.
For further questions contact your dealer.
1.3.3. Repairs and maintenance

Repairs may only be performed by professionals. Improper
repairs to this machine can cause the user great risks.

1.4. Warranty
Hans van der Poel B.V. guarantees one year delivery warranty, if
the machine is used properly considering this manual.
The warranty covers all defect in the machine, which result from
manufacturing or use of poor materials.
By misuse, improper or inadequate maintenance, normal wear
and tear, damage caused by an external cause or improper repairs
or alternations will void any warranty.
The components which are not fabricated by Hans van der Poel
B.V, like electronic and hydraulic components are covered by the
warranty of the original manufacturer.
In case of malfunctions, damage, or other complaints you should
always contact your dealer.
1.5. Registration



The identification plate of the SquareFill data (series-,
production-,
part number and voltage) is mounted inside the control panel
Please include in correspondence and when ordering spare
parts, always the production, series, part number and voltage
of your machine.

1.6.1. Description and operation
1.7. Versions
1.7.1. Supply
The supply of containers is known for two option: a mono-destacking suited for one stack and a version with a conveyor suited
for multiple stacked containers.
1.7.1.1.
The SquareFill is completely build from RVS components. The
stacks of containers are manually placed on the loading platform
or conveyor. The entire stack of containers is lifted, and the lowest
container is pulled away and placed in the outlet station. When
arriving at the outlet station the container is filled with water and
flower food. After this step flowers, can be placed in the
containers. The SquareFill can be used for containers of sizes 533,
544, 560, 566, 577, 580 and several types of Procona’s.
Mono-destacking.
The standard configuration when a stack of containers is manually
placed on the loading platform. When the containers are placed,
“start’ can be pressed to start the de-stacking

Conveyor
An option where multiple stacks of containers can be placed on a
conveyor. This conveyor has a standard length of three meters
and a height of 14 cm. On the conveyor is a pneumatic adjustable
rail placed, to make easy placement of the stacks possible.

The outlet of the containers is supplied in two options. A Buffer
conveyor or a conveyor equipped with a pusher.
The QuickFill can be supplied with a Dosatron unit. This Dosatron
unit mixes the flower food and the water in the correct ratio.

The standard configuration where the containers are placed on a
conveyor which works as a buffer. The conveyor can be supplied
in several heights; 40, 50 and 60 cm. At the end of the conveyor a
sensor is mounted to note when the conveyor is full and the
machine stops it’s process

Another option is a pusher shifting the containers from the
conveyor to a roller conveyor system.
With this option an extra sensor is placed which checks if there is
a possibility to shift the containers. The pusher can work or from
the left or from the right side.

- Close the water supply and release the pressure to zero;
- Turn the conical bolt/ blocking loose (to the left); fig. a.
- Turn the dosage bolt to the left or to the right until the it
corresponds with the desired dosage values; fig. b.
- Tighten the conical bolt/ blocking bolt (to the right); fig. a.
International conversion
1. The dosatron has a range of 0,1 to 0,9 this is 0,01% up to 0,09%
 1 up to 9 ml/litres.
2.Flowerfood canister + funnel
Fill the canister with flower food if this one is almost empty.
3. Mixing tube.
The mixing tube helps the water to mix with the flower food.

1.8. Data and control
The SquareFill can be delivered with some options. One of these
options is the possibility for destacking round buckets and/or
dosage with a piston pump instead of a Dosatron-unit.

1.8.2. Important components
1.8.2.1.
Grippers
The stack of containers is lifted in the loading station between two
grippers, these grippers pick the second lowest container from the
stack.
Shims:
The systems uses five separating wheels around the buckets to
force them from each other. The wheels can be adjusted to
different crane heights of the buckets with help of the shims. The
thickness varies from 1,2,3,4 to 5 mm. On the shims, itself the
thickness is marked. Always use the same size of shims on the five
separating wheels.

In between the two grippers pushers are placed which can push
the lower container downward. Hereby even the vacuum sucked
containers are pulled apart.

Width adjustable
The SquareFill can use several sizes of containers by pneumatic
adjustable grippers.
Some additional fluids need to be dosed very accurately. In this
case when a Dosatron unit is not accurate enough, it is possible
to mount a piston pump.

be set and the machine can start.

1.8.5. Touch screen extra
Extra specialized settings of the SquareFill.
Settings for the pulsating pump: menu for setting the amount of
pulses at the pulsating pump.
Litre of square buckets: menu for selecting square buckets.
Settings for 533 up to 577 containers: menu where the settings of
the amount of dosing for each of the type of containers can be
set.
Settings of the pulsating pump: The SquareFill can handle several
types of containers by use of the pneumatic change of the
grippers.

1.9. Malfunctions





The machine does not start

2.1. Inleiding
Gefeliciteerd met de aanschaf van uw nieuwe SquareFill machine.
Lees deze handleiding en volg de instructies voordat u de
SquareFill in gebruik neemt, zodat u de machine correct kunt
gebruiken.
U bent verantwoordelijk voor een veilig gebruik en onderhoud van
uw machine. U dient zich ervan te vergewissen dat uzelf, en ieder
ander die de machine gaat bedienen en/of onderhouden, of
anderszins daarbij betrokken is, op de hoogte is van de bedrijfsen onderhoudsprocedures en van alle informatie op het gebied
van veiligheid in deze handleiding. Via deze handleiding wordt u
stap voor stap begeleid bij uw dagelijkse routine en wordt u
bewust gemaakt van alle maatregelen die nodig zijn voor een
veilig gebruik van de machine. Hou deze handleiding altijd bij de
hand zodat u snel iets kunt nazoeken.

voortdurend naar verbetering van producten en dienstverlening.
Daarom behouden wij het recht voor om de in deze
gebruikshandleiding vermelde specificaties op elk gewenst

2.2. Gebruik van de SquareFill
De SquareFill voldoet aan de eisen van de machinerichtlijn
2006/42/EG.
De SquareFill is uitsluitend bestemd om fusten te ontstapelen en
deze van water en eventueel snijbloemenvoeding te voorzien.
Het gebruik voor andere doeleinden en het aanbrengen van
veranderingen aan de machine is ontoelaatbaar en kan gevaarlijk
zijn.
De fabrikant kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor schade
die is ontstaan door gebruik voor andere doeleinden dan hier
aangegeven of door een foutieve bediening.
2.3. Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies en
waarschuwingen
2.3.1. Installatie


Zorg voor een elektrische aansluiting die voldoet aan de
algemene en locale voorschiften (laagspanningrichtlijnen
73/23/EEG en NEN 1010).
Zorg voor een stabiele opstelling van de machine.
2.3.2. Dagelijks gebruik







Drink geen snijbloemenvoeding uit de snijbloemenvoeding
container want deze snijbloemenvoeding is niet bestemd
voor consumptie.
Alleen bevoegde en goed opgeleide personen mogen de
machine bedienen. Het is niet-gekwalificeerde personen niet
toegestaan om de machine te bedienen .
Zorg voor een EHBO-doos voor eventuele ongevallen. Zet
deze op een duidelijk zichtbare plaats.
Zorg dat een brandblusser direct beschikbaar is. Installeer
deze op een duidelijk zichtbare plaats.
Installeer, voordat u met de machine gaat werken, alle
beschermingen en beveiligingen en zorg dat deze
(mechanisch of elektrisch) deugdelijk zijn beveiligd.
Open het elektrische paneel NIET om te werken aan het
elektrische systeem, tenzij de stroom op het hoofd paneel is
uitgeschakeld.
Draag doeltreffende beschermende kleding en bescherm lang
haar.

Bel 1-1-2 voor spoedeisende hulp bij direct
levensbedreigende situaties.
Neem bij verdere vragen contact op met uw leverancier.
2.3.3. Reparaties en onderhoud






Reparaties mogen uitsluitend door vakmensen worden
uitgevoerd. Door ondeskundige reparaties kan de gebruiker
grote risico’s lopen.
Schakel de machine uit, sluit de stroomtoevoer geheel af en
maak de machine zorgvuldig schoon, voordat u begint aan
service, onderhoud, instellingen of reparaties.
Zorg ervoor dat alle elektrische schakelaars uit staan voordat
u de stroom weer inschakelt.
Zorg ervoor dat alle beschermingen goed vergrendeld zijn –
als u klaar bent met het onderhoudswerk.
Vervang beschadigde elektrische draden, leidingen,
schakelaars of andere componenten onmiddellijk.
Neem bij verdere vragen contact op met uw leverancier.
2.3.4. Gevaar en Veiligheidsstickers
De op de SquareFill aangebrachte veiligheidsstickers bevatten
belangrijke en nuttige informatie, opdat u uw machine/installatie
veilig in bedrijf kunt houden:

Zorg ervoor dat de veiligheidsstickers altijd schoon en
leesbaar zijn.

Vervang ontbrekende stickers en stickers die onleesbaar zijn
geworden.

Op vervangen componenten met een veiligheidssticker moet
opnieuw een sticker worden aangebracht.

Veiligheidsstickers zijn verkrijgbaar bij uw leverancier.

Het veiligheidssymbool verwijst naar belangrijke
veiligheidswaarschuwingen op de SquareFill en in de
handleiding. Als u dit symbool ziet, wees dan op uw hoede
voor het gevaar van (fataal) lichamelijk letsel. Volg de
instructie van de veiligheidssticker op.


2.3.5. Veiligheidvoorzieningen
Bij de SquareFill zijn de volgende veiligheidsvoorzieningen
aanwezig op de machine:

Noodstopschakelaar, geplaatst op het bedieningspaneel.

Thermische beveiliging van de aandrijfmotoren.
Let op het gebruik van de attentie woorden “Gevaar”, “Let op”,
“Bewegende delen”, “Waarschuwing”, in de
veiligheidswaarschuwing. De stickers die gebruikt worden op deze
machine zijn afgebeeld op de volgende tabel.

verwonding tot gevolg kan hebben.

Zorg ervoor dat alle beschermingen
aanwezig zijn, voordat de machine in
gebruik genomen wordt.

2.4. Garantie
Hans van der Poel B.V. garandeert gedurende 1 jaar na levering
de deugdelijkheid van de door haar geleverde machine, mits goed
gemonteerd, behandeld en gebruikt.
De garantie omvat alle gebreken aan de geleverde machine, welke
het gevolg zijn van fabricagefouten of gebruik van slecht
materiaal.
Door onoordeelkundig gebruik, onjuist of onvoldoende
onderhoud, normale slijtage, beschadigingen door een van buiten
komende oorzaak, foutief uitgevoerde reparatie en veranderingen
vervalt alle aansprakelijkheid op garantie.
De componenten die niet door Hans van der Poel B.V.
gefabriceerd zijn, bijv. elektronische en hydraulische onderdelen,
worden gedekt door de garantiebepalingen van de
oorspronkelijke fabrikant.
Bij storingen, beschadigingen of andere klachten dient u zich altijd
tot uw leverancier te wenden.
2.5. Registratie
Het identificatie plaatje van de SquareFill met gegevens (serie -,
productie -, artikelnummer en voltage) is gemonteerd aan de
bovenzijde van de machine zoals hieronder staat aangegeven.

Vermeld s.v.p. in correspondentie en bij het bestellen van
reserve onderdelen altijd het productie-, serie-,
artikelnummer en voltage van uw machine.

2.6.1. Beschrijving en werking
2.7. Uitvoeringen
2.7.1. Aanvoer
De aanvoer van de fusten kent twee opties: een monoonstapelaar geschikt voor één stapel en een versie met een
aanvoerband voor meerdere stapels.
2.7.1.1. Mono-onstapelaar
De SquareFill is compleet opgebouwd uit RVS componenten. De
stapels fusten worden handmatig op het laadplateau of op de
aanvoerband geplaatst. Vervolgens wordt de gehele stapel
opgetild waarna steeds het onderste fust van de stapel wordt
afgenomen. Dit fust wordt op het afvoerstation geplaatst en naar
het vulpunt getransporteerd, waar het fust van een instelbare
hoeveelheid water en eventueel snijbloemenvoeding wordt
voorzien Na deze stap kan men eenvoudig de bloemen in fusten
plaatsen. De SquareFill is standaard geschikt voor veilingfusten
met code 533, 544, 560, 566, 577, 580 en diverse type Procona’s.
De standaard configuratie waarbij een stapel fusten handmatig op
het laadplateau in de machine wordt geplaatst. Indien de fusten
zijn geplaatst drukt men op “start” om het ontstapelen te starten.
2.7.1.2.

Een optie waarbij er meerdere stapels fusten op een aanvoerband
geplaatst kunnen worden. Deze aanvoerband heeft standaard een
lengte van 3 meter op een hoogte van 14 cm. Op deze band is aan
de linker– of de rechterzijde een pneumatisch verstelbare
aanslagrail geplaatst.

De afvoer van de fusten is in twee opties leverbaar: een
bufferband waar de fusten in buffer staan totdat ze eraf worden
gepakt. En een bufferband met een pusher waarbij de fusten
worden afgeduwd naar een haaks opgestelde rollenbaan
.
De SquareFill kan geleverd met een Dosatronpomp die zorgt voor
toevoeging van snijbloemenvoeding en de juiste menging van het
water met de snijbloemenvoeding.

De standaard configuratie waarbij de fusten op de bufferband
worden geplaatst. De bufferband kan geleverd worden op
verschillende hoogtes: 40, 50 of 60 centimeter. Aan het einde van
de bufferband is een volmelding gemonteerd.

- Draai de watertoevoer uit en laat de druk naar nul zakken;
- Draai de conische moer/ blokkering los (linksom): fig. a;
- Draai de doseermoer links of rechtsom (fig. b) totdat de
bovenzijde correspondeert met de gewenste doseerwaarde.
- Draai de blokkering weer vast (rechtsom): fig. a.
Internationale herleiding
De dosatron heeft een range van 0,1 tot 0,9 dit is 0,01% tot 0,09%
—> 1 tot 9 ml/liter.
2. Kan bloemvoeding + trechter
Vul de jerrycan met snijbloemenvoeding bij als deze leeg is.
Voor de afvoer is er ook een speciale mogelijkheid om de fusten
van de band op een rollenbaan te schuiven met een pusher. Bij
deze pusher komt een extra sensor die controleert of er een fust
kan worden geschoven. Het afschuiven kan naar links of naar
rechts gebeuren.
3. Mengpijp
De mengpijp zorgt voor een goede menging van water en
snijbloemenvoeding.
4. Slang met filter
Met dit element kan de snijbloemenvoeding uit grotere vaten
worden opgezogen (i.p.v. uit de jerrycan).

2.8.2. Belangrijke componenten
2.8.2.1.
Grijpers
De stapel fusten wordt door het laadstation opgetild tussen twee
grijpers. Deze grijpers pakken het tweede fust van de stapel vast .
Vulplaatjes:
Het systeem gebruikt 5 draaitollen rondom om de emmers van
elkaar te dwingen. De draaitollen kunnen aangepast worden aan
de verschillende kraaghoogtes van de emmers d.m.v. vulplaatjes.
De beschikbare diktes van deze vulplaatjes zijn 1,2,3,4 en 5 mm.
Op de plaatjes zelf staat deze dikte gemarkeerd.
2.7.4.1.
Plunjerpomp i.p.v. Dosatronpomp

Afduwer
Tussen de twee grijpers zijn afduwers geplaatst die het onderste
fust van de stapel naar beneden duwen. Hierdoor worden zelfs
vacuüm gezogen fusten en/of fusten die klemmen door
achtergebleven stickerresten uit elkaar gedwongen.
2.8.2.3.
Breedte verstelbaar
De SquareFill kan verschillende fusten verwerken door middel van
een pneumatische verstelling van de grijpers.
Waar bij sommige middelen erg secuur gedoseerd moet worden
heeft een Dosatronpomp een bepaalde limiet. Het is mogelijk om
een plunjerpomp op de machine te plaatsen in plaats van de
Dosatronpomp. Hierdoor wordt de nauwkeurigheid verbeterd en
is een zeer fijne afstemming mogelijk van de dosering.

1. Bedieningspaneel: Op dit paneel worden de huidige instellingen
en de tellerstanden weergegeven
2. Hoofdschakelaar: Voor het aan en uit zetten van de machine
Startscherm: Startscherm na het welkomst scherm, en het scherm
na het indrukken van de Noodstop.
3. Reset knop: Reset het systeem.
Als de blauwe lamp brandt is de machine in bedrijf.
Als de blauwe lamp knippert, er is een storing.
Als de blauwe lamp uit is, is de machine ook uit.
4. Start/Stop knop Om de machine te starten en te stoppen
5. Rode noodstop knop: Wanneer er dreiging is van een
gevaarlijke situatie, druk dan onmiddellijk op de rode noodstop
knop. De machine zal dan onmiddellijk stoppen met alle acties.
Automatische Bedrijf: Scherm waarbij het automatisch bedrijf van
de machine kan worden gestart.

2.9. Storingen




Machine start niet.
o Geen elektrische stroomtoevoer.

Controleer de conditie van de stoppen

Controleer glaszekeringen in de
stoomkast. Zijn ze gebroken? Zekeringen
vervangen.
o De stekker zit niet in het stopcontact.

Doe de stekker in het stopcontact.
De fusten worden niet uit elkaar genomen.
o Verkeerde afstelling van de grijpers

Controleer de afstelling van de grijpers.
De transportband loopt niet.
o Frequentieregelaar is in storing
