LA TINTURA IN CAPO. IL DIFFICILE ESERCIZIO DELLE SFUMATURE.
For Society Limonta, predictable is not a popular word. Let’s think about
their dyeing process. The industry usually colour-dyes the fabric before the
tailoring process. This is definitely much easier. Garment dyeing, instead,
is a much longer and more difficult procedure because the dyeing process is
applied on the finished garment. This must be first pre-washed, in order to
eliminate any impurities do to the weaving, then finally it can be coloured
using only a primary colour mix. By rotating the colouring basin, the garments
– just a few for each batch – are evenly tinted; then the last step in the dryer
makes them soft and fluffy.
All pigments are selected according to the type of fibre and to the desired
final effect, which however, can only be approximately estimated. In fact, the
creation of a consistent and homogeneous effect for each batch is not only
impossible, but it’s also irrelevant from Society Limonta’s point of view.
The slight differences for each nuance create different garments for different
customers. This is Society Limonta’s philosophy that makes them so special
and unique.

A Society Limonta le cose scontate non piacciono. Prendiamo il processo della
tintura: farlo secondo il classico metodo industriale, sul tessuto non ancora lavorato, sarebbe più semplice. La tintura in capo, invece, è un processo lungo e difficile, in quanto opera sul capo di biancheria già cucito e confezionato. Questo passa prima in un ciclo di prelavaggio, che elimina eventuali impurità dovute alla
tessitura, e solo successivamente viene aggiunto il colorante (nato da una terna
di colori primari) che si unisce al tessuto in maniera omogenea grazie alla rotazione del bagno di tintura. Dopo alcune ore i capi, tinti ogni volta in piccole
quantità, passano nell’asciugatrice, i cui movimenti lenti donano una particolare morbidezza finale ai tessuti.
I coloranti sono selezionati in funzione della fibra e del particolare risultato
che si vuole ottenere; risultato che però si raggiunge solo per approssimazione:
avere lo stesso tono per tutti i bagni di colore non solo sarebbe impossibile, ma è
anche qualcosa che a Society Limonta non interessa. Sfumature sottili e capi diversi per clienti unici. Questa è la particolarissima filosofia di Society Limonta.

MIDSUMMER WEDDING’S SCENT
PROFUMO DI NOZZE DI MEZZA ESTATE
Fig was getting married.
The news immediately spread, especially among the GIRLS.
He was fascinating, seducing, juicy, scrumptious, intriguing,
you could die for his beauty. Even the gods on the Olympus
adored him. Fig was a man from other times, and a young lad
of our days. The master of courtship, even though being courted and flattered is what he liked the most.
He was vain and eccentric by nature, but nobody thought
badly of him. When you’re so sexy, you cannot be guilty.
Il fico aveva trovato moglie.
La notizia era sulla bocca di tutti, di TUTTE, soprattutto.
Affascinante, seducente, succoso, goloso, intrigante, bello
da impazzire, adorato anche dagli dei dell’Olimpo, Fico era
un signore d’altri tempi, un ragazzino dei giorni nostri; maestro insuperabile nel corteggiamento, amava ancor di più
essere corteggiato e vezzeggiato dagli altri.
Vanitoso ed eccentrico per natura, non veniva tuttavia giudicato male. Quando si è così sexy, non si può essere colpevoli.
A buzzing crowd was impatient to discover the bride’s identity.
The reception was going to be held in a small garden, for just
a few close friends and family but the press and many curious
fans discovered the hidden location, and were anxiously waiting.
It was a warm summer evening. The air was still full of the
day’s sun and scents. The slow and rhythmic singing of a
cicada was setting the pace of the murmuring gossips, still
burning for the hot events of the day and for the last rays of
sun. Even the very few spots of shade didn’t manage to cool
down the boiling spirits.

La cerimonia sarebbe stata celebrata in un piccolo giardino, con
pochi intimi, ma la stampa e i curiosi erano riusciti ad individuare la location ed ora attendevano di sapere con ansia crescente.
Era una calda sera d’estate, l’aria ancora satura di sole sprigionava le fragranze della giornata e il ritmo regolare del canto delle
cicale sembrava scandire il chiacchiericcio continuo dei pettegoli, accalorati dall’eccezionalità degli eventi e dagli ultimi raggi di sole. Nemmeno le poche zone d’ombra riuscivano a rinfrescare gli animi accesi dei presenti.

astonished eyes staring at her, and the rather impolite comments. She realized her simplicity and plainness, but nevertheless, wasn’t it she destined to the best one?
Spotless and softest as ever, all in white. Strong and proud as
she had never been before, she reached Fig.
He embraced her with all his sweetness, and welcomed her
with her pure elegance.
Just a few seconds and everybody realized that the game was
over.
The couple had paired for life.
Finalmente Fico arrivò.
Urla e pianti accompagnarono il suo ingresso, alcune disperate
improvvisarono gli ultimi tentativi per conquistarlo, ma invano. Fico aveva occhi solo per sé.
Caramellato dalla testa ai piedi, profumava di agosto e brillava
come un dio. Le prime luci del tramonto arrossarono la sua pelle
umida e brillante e una fragranza dolce ed inebriante fece avvampare anche gli ospiti più compiti.
Un brusio fece distogliere faticosamente gli sguardi dallo sposo;
era apparsa lei. Occhiate nervose ed incredule, mormorii, sospiri strozzati. Non poteva essere vero! Era vero?
Troppo umile, troppo giovane, troppo insapore. Troppo sbagliata per lui.
Ricotta avanzò a testa alta, fra sguardi attoniti e commenti
poco gradevoli alle sue spalle. Sapeva benissimo di essere semplice e modesta, ma non stava forse per sposarsi il migliore?
Candida e soffice in bianco, più forte e fiera che mai, raggiunse
Fico con orgoglio.
Lui l’avvolse con la sua folle dolcezza, lei lo accolse con la sua determinata purezza.
Bastarono pochi istanti e tutti capirono immediatamente che
non c’era più nulla da fare.
Quei due non si sarebbero lasciati mai più.

Fig finally arrived.
Tears and screams welcomed his arrival in a desperate last
minute try to make him change his mind. But Fig had eyes
only for himself. Candied from head to toes, he smelled of
August and shone like a god. The first sunset lights made his
damp and shiny skin turn reddish, releasing a soothing and
sweet scent that made even the most composed guests blush.
A rising murmur turned the attention away from the groom:
the bride had arrived. Nervous and amazed looks, chocked
sighs, growing murmurs. It couldn’t be true! Was it really true?
Too humble. Too young. Too tasteless. Too wrong for him.
