in the generation/production and use of
statistics in the Country e.g Uganda
Bureau of Statistics, Government
Ministries, Departments and Agencies,
and the Private Sector.
MORE ON NSDS……..
• The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) initiated
the Development of a National Plan for generation
and dissemination of Uganda’s Statistics covering
the entire NSS.
• This 5 year plan is called the Plan for National
Statistical Development (PNSD)
• The PNSD is made up of all Statistics Plans
developed by Ministries, Departments and Agencies
(funded by Govt, DFID, WB + UNICEF)
• Given the above initiative, Agricultural Statistics in
Uganda is mainstreamed into the NSDS integrated
into the PNSD.
