Mathematics

Mathematics gives students the skills most highly sought
by employers.
 These skills include solving problems, analyzing data,
and using technology.
 75% of jobs of the future will require algebraic equations.
 Major segments of our population are misrepresented in
mathematical-based fields.
 To be successful in adult life, you must have the ability to
apply math in everyday transactions, engage in problem
solving situations, and effectively communicate thru the
understanding of mathematics.

The smart class is a classroom with specialized
computer equipment such as:
Smart Class
Visualizer
Speakers
Low-Dropout Screen
DVD Player
Computer

Enables the teacher to
project onto the screen
whatever work is being
done on the visualizer
 Projects all images in
color
 Prevents the use of
chalkboards and erasers
 Saves time

The pictures to the
left demonstrates that
whatever the teacher
does over the
visualizer is projected
onto the low-dropout
screen.

Online work can be
projected onto the
screen
 The picture on the
right will demonstrate
how online work is
projected when
clicked.

Visualizer can show
the students how to
operate equipment at
one time as opposed
to showing everyone
individually.

The new Temple
College Smart Class
will be located
where the old
dormitories stands.
 It is currently under
construction but is
expected to be
completed in May of
2003.
In Conclusion
 The
smart classroom is very beneficial to
the math field
 It helps give students a better grasp of
what the instructor is teaching
 The completion of the new smart class will
be a great addition to Temple College.
