The job of the Ocean Team is to:
• Own, nurture and promote the site
• Make decisions and answer questions
about content
• Keep the site vital and useful—a friendly,
informative, “happening” place where UTi
Ocean employees want to visit regularly.
The job of the site administrator is to:
• Post and
• Manage content on the site.

Before we go live…
• The site needs to be
presented to the
team
• The administrators
need to be trained
• Content needs to be
posted
Presenting the Site
• The site was presented to representatives
from the US, Canada, Asia, Pacific and the
Indian subcontinent during the recent Carrier
Relationships & Customer Forum meeting at
Rancho.
• Kurt Jensen has presented it to the MDs of
Emena and Dave Hughes presented it at a
recent workshop he conducted for the UK.
• These slides are intended to present the site
to the rest of the Ocean team.
Training the Administrators
• All the administrators have been trained
or have been given access to training.
• However, they can only post content
that they have been given.
• Who gives them that content?
The Ocean Team!
Posting Content
At the recent meeting in Rancho, the group
was given two assignments. These apply
to the entire Ocean team:
• Assignment 1: All regions post contact
information.
• Canada and Asia have already posted their contacts. Take
a look at Contacts>Canada and Contacts>Asia.
• If you have a photo, you may post it with the contact
details.
• Simply email your contact information (and photo) to your
regional administrator.
Posting Content
•Assignment 2: Come up with one item for the site
and email it to your regional administrator.
Don’t know what you can post? Take a look at the folders on
the Ocean home page. How about:
√ A market update,
√ General info, e.g., FAQ,
√ A best practice,
√ A success story,
√ A presentation that can be shared with any Inzalo user
but is of particular interest to the Ocean community, etc
√ You may also create new categories (folders) on the
home page.
