exchange programs for graduate students.
Backgrounds
Since 2007, Chung Shan’s PhD
program requires an
international learning
experience for PhD students.
When Friends Come from Afar,
is that not a Cause for Joy?
We welcome health sciences PhD
students from UAB to visit and work
with us together at Chung Shan.
Methods
– Duration: 6-8 weeks or more
– Through taking graduate courses and
participating programs : e.g. Cellular
and Molecular Biology
1. Professional Development Program:
e.g. Summer Writing and oral
communications courses or workshops
2. working as a research assistant at
varied laboratories of UAB
Supporting System
– An office/staff member of UAB needs to
be responsible for this exchange
program.
– An evaluation mechanism needs to be
established.
Expenses
– Our students will take the responsibility
of all expenses of travel, insurance, and
living with possible support in part from
Chung Shan.
– Is it possible for UAB to wave tuitions
for course study or laboratory rotations?
Thanks for your attention
and consideration
