Presentation of the company

 Afinis ( www.afinis.cl

) is a Chilean-based firm that specializes in job placement.

 Mission: – Placing the right person in the company where she is needed.

– Creating a partnership with their client companies.

– Defining a thorough profile, position description and company knowledge.

Old Information Records:

 So far spreadsheets have been used.

 But Afinis, growing fast and steadily, wants to: - stop relying on spreadsheets - move on to a better-centralized computer based system - avoid redundancies

Users of the new system:

This system will be used, through web-based interfaces, by:    Candidates (interaction), who need to be able to enter their personal information Partners (interaction), who need access to candidates’ profiles. : Job Agents (mainly), who need to have full access to search the database.

Functionalities needed, through the web interface:

    Candidate/company/position searching Limiting access according to the user record/user administration maintenance.

For this solution we will use: for the web interface : Linux cluster server running Apache/PHP for the DB engine: MySQL that runs 24/7 in Chile Access to this cluster will be provided by Lemontech ( www.lemontech.cl

) an IT Chilean company.
