Almost five times as many boys

Children were diagnosed at earlier ages (3-4 yrs)

Largest increases among Hispanic and Black children
but still underrepresented compared to Non-Hispanic
white children

new requirement for ALL teaching
licenses as of 2012. The focus of these
standards is on “knowledge of systems
to support the selection, acquisition
and use, and strategies to implement,
monitor and adjust the use of AT vs.
knowledge of devices.”
