Program Basics
• Admission Requirements
– Online application
– Decisions made three times a year – 2/1, 6/1, 10/15
• Advising
– Students are assigned an advisor upon admission
- Students may take courses as planned with their advisor
- Courses are available on a published schedule
• Length of Study
– Part-time enrollment: 1-2 courses/semester
– Typically 2-3 years depending on course load

VDOE Requirements for K12 Administration &
Supervision Endorsement
A candidate for the add-on endorsement must have:
1) A masters degree
2) Completed three years of successful, full-time experience in a
public school or accredited nonpublic school in an
instructional personnel position that requires licensure in
Virginia
3) Completed an approved program of study in administration
and supervision
4) Completed a 320 hour internship
5) Passed the School Leaders’ Licensure Assessment (SLLA)
