PTA FARES
•
As you know PTA fares are NOT guaranteed by the GDS so even if you issue the G fare
and receive an ADM it is Non Disputable.
•
We can check the fares for you but cannot guarantee you against an ADM
•
When you do the normal FQ entries the GDS defaults to ticket being issued and paid for
at point of origin so therefore give you a G fare but once you tell the system that the ticket
will not be issued and paid for at point of origin it gives you a M fare. Reason being that
your HIP checks changes, some countries have POS checks and different TAX
collections.

Correct FQ entries for:
Galileo: FQ.JNBLON (Paid and ticketed in JNB but flight originating in LON)
•
Amadeus: FXP/R,JNB.LON
•
So please always try and get the fares guaranteed by the airlines in righting.
•
SAA/BA you use the RQ. For Galileo and SKFARQ
•
The rest you EMAIL your PNR, VL and filled fare and ask them to guarantee fare.

GENERAL ADM’S
•
Domestic penalties are collected per sector that is changes on both SAA and BA Comair if not using the SAA corporate
fare or BA bangshoot deal.
•
On SAA Domestic now the highest penalty only will be collected if more than 1 sector is changed
•
When upgrading to a higher fare, the change penalty must still be collected plus the difference in fare.
•
Change penalties must be collected using correct tax codes, DU tax for SAA and OD tax for BA Comair. The airlines
collect these penalties again when the wrong code was used and these ADM’s are not disputable. The same will apply
to all airlines using a tax code to collect change penalties.
•
Remember to collect additional VAT (ZV tax) when fare increases with the reissue
•
SAA also require any additional YR taxes to be collected for reissues after departure.
•
Please remember to insert the tour code again on a reissue where either a SAA corporate fare was used or the
BA bangshoot deal was used. BA Comair charge a ticketing error fee of R350.00 and SAA will collect the
difference between corporate fare and normal published fare.
•
BA International reissues must be done within 48 hours of change being made to bookings from South Africa.
Remember that cancelling a flight already constitutes a change to the booking.
•
LH, LX, AF and KLM reissues must be done at same time as the booking was change before the flight being changed.
•
QF private/nett fares must be issued at 0% comm.
• VS Adm Alert/Trends
• There is a general trend of adms issued in respect of failure to populate deal
code on reissued tickets (This is a general trend and you are advised to warn
your agents not to fall victim)
• Virgin Atlantic special fares are not combinable with any other carriers special
fares ( VS Special fares booking classes are as follows: (C-D-I-Z-S-H-K- B-R-LU-M-V-E-Q-X-N-O) with the exception of USA where C and D are combinable
and extreme caution should be exercised when auto pricing on GDS
• Fares that are combinable with other carriers are only full normal fares booked
in Y, W and J and can only be combined with other carriers full normal fares.
• No-show fees on bookings made but not timeously cancelled (This is a very
common one)
• 1free inbound date change on net tickets only applies once the outbound sector
has been utilised (i.e. if pax decides to make changes before outbound
departure, the agent must reprice, collect any difference in fare and taxes if
there is any, and apply a date change fee as XP on tax box)
