What is a CAS?
CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies
Why do I need a CAS?
Before you can apply for permission to enter or remain in the UK under Tier 4 visa, BPP
must assign a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) to you. This confirms that you
have been given an unconditional offer on a programme with a licensed Tier 4 sponsor.

must
obtain
offer from BPP University College
Complete the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) request form
Complete the UK History form
Copy of your current passport
Copies of Educational documents (qualifications achieved to date)
Meet English language requirements (i.e. IELTS)
Bank statement showing sufficient funds for maintenance and the remaining balance for the 1st
year fee
Once we have received your completed documents, we will issue you with a unique CAS
reference to apply for your visa

Tuition fees
Evidence that you have paid in full of your first year programme fees. ACCA: full payment for the
papers booked is required
Evidence that you have held any outstanding fees in your bank account for a continuous 28 day period
(bank statements dated no more than 1 month before the date of your application)
Maintenance (living expenses)
£1000 per month at BPP inner London campuses, £800 elsewhere
Are you eligible for the reduced maintenance requirement or must you show the higher level of funds?
Evidence that have held this amount of money for a 28 day period (bank statements as above)

The visa requirements that you must meet are likely to differ depending on which of the categories
applies to your current immigration status:
You are already in the UK with student immigration permission that you applied for before 31.03.09
You are already in the UK with Tier 4 student immigration permission
You are already in the UK with immigration permission under a different category
You are outside the UK and this is your first immigration application
Visa extension in the UK: If you hold a Tier 4 visa sponsored by institution you will most probably
have to put in your application BEFORE you will be able to register with BPP
New visa application: Obtain your visa before you travel to the UK and register
