Drilling Process



During the drilling process, solids need to be
removed from the fluids in order for it to be reused.
There are two options available in order to keep
control of the percentage of Solids:

Important points to operate centrifuges
The process of the Centrifuge
• Remove solids of high and low gravity
• Centrifuge Bowl Adjustment: Deep for an optimum cut,
and less depth for more volume.
• High RPMS: for more G force;
• Low RPMS: For solids with more specific gravity.
• The operator has to look for the optimum adjustment
depending on the process.
The Function of the Centrifuge
• To remove the solids which are the most dangerous to the
mud which are 5-10 microns in size
• produce a dry cutting.
• Barite recovery
• De - watering: Solids and fluids separation with polymer
enhancement.
