Conservation Services
Natural Resource Studies. We specialize in landscape conservation
planning studies and our staff have completed hundreds of projects
nationwide, including conservation planning, INRMPs, wildlife plans,
and surveys.
Ecosystem Services. Ecosystem services and economic analysis are
integrated into our environmental planning and conservation studies.
Water Resources. Our water resource planners and engineers
conduct water demand sustainability studies, stormwater planning,
policy analysis, and conservation studies.
Cultural Resources. Marstel-Day and our partners have conducted
Phase I/II cultural resource surveys, HABS/HAER studies, Native
American consultation, and Section 106 consultation, as well as support
Programmatic Agreements with the SHPO.
GIS-based Landscape Analysis & Modeling. Marstel-Day’s team
of GIS specialists and landscape ecologists develop win-win strategies
for conserving habitat and at-risk species, while preserving critical
mission functions and building partnerships at a landscape scale.
Marstel-Day’s President, Rebecca R. Rubin developed the
Conservation Conveyance legislation, 10 USC, 2694(a), which
led to the conservation of 80,000 acres, including establishment
of several national wildlife refuges.
